Online PDC vs In-person PDC?

I get it.

Only some people can attend a Permaculture Design Course in person.

Schedule's clash. Course locations are too far away. You have a full-time job, a family and a life to attend to.

What are the options?

When people ask:

"Should I take an in-person PDC or an online course?"

My answer is:

"Absolutely, yes!"

In-person PDCs are incredible, BUT longer-form online courses can provide an in-depth review of material at your pace AND with more design practice and feedback than a two-week intensive PDC. 

I've taught over 65 different PDCs worldwide with different instructors and know what makes an excellent course. 

In 2015 I reviewed Oregon State University's PDC, and I was frankly blown away at the level of detail, range and comprehensive approach they took to their course offering, including:

• in-depth information sourced from practitioners across the world,
• serving an international student body (France, Sweden, New Zealand, U, Austria, Portugal, Canada (coast to coast), Switzerland, Tanzania, Denmark, Kenya, Uganda, and more),
• 21 Assignments, based on your site, each getting one on one feedback from instructors who are not only educators but, first and foremost, practitioners,
• And all this from where ever you are in the world.

Since 2015 I've been an instructor with the course, and it's been an absolute pleasure to be part of their team. 

In 2019 I created the OSU Permaculture Template, a 159-slide document that allows each student to develop professional work for their client (or themself) within the course. 

The template was so successful we had to add a PROFESSIONAL version of the course. If you're just keen to learn about permaculture, you can take the regular version of the class, OR if you want to add permaculture into your career, you can take the PRO version. 

And it's one of the most affordable and accessible courses in the world.
