Student - Tanzania, AfricaEducation, General, PDC StudentThank you sooo much Javan! It’s been a really lovely time well spent. I was very skeptical at first of the whole course idea. But i have gained soooo much knowledge i think this is just the tip of the iceberg for me. Theres soooo much more to learn and experience. This is really a gift of life for me. I thank you and everyone involved and the nice environment you and Neil provided in our group. This is a kind of course where grades dont really matter. Its the knowledge you get and do something with it. Thank you so much guys, a big thumbs up from me and from my hubby who made this possible. You never know maybe will cross each other someday in Swahili theres a saying that says this – milima haikutani which means mountains don’t meet but humans do.

Climate Specialist - Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada - https://www.weadapt.org/member/rossingEducation, General, PDC StudentJust a quick note to let you know that I am deeply grateful for your comments. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy this course. Everything that I have been working on for the past 20+ years are coming together, being connected by this new precious knowledge.
I have felt very disenchanted with work for quite a while – “Compassion fatigue” sums it up quite nicely. I sorely needed such new positive inspiration,
Thank you – for your time and inspiration.
Marianne Cicala
Advance Design for Climate Resilience Student - Virginia, USAEducation, General, PDC StudentI can’t begin to tell you how timely this work is; my site is a new area for me on every possible level. Mudslides, forest fires, steep terrain, lower growing zone, breath taking views and most people in the area are part timers which leaves almost 10 months without people noise. There is so much to learn and figure out with this little slice and this course is beyond helpful. You cannot imagine how grateful I am – where we are moving is foreign to me and as a farmer, having food outside of my door is paramount
Thank you – it is making a world of difference to me.

Farmers Maple Bloom Farm, Prince Edward Island, CanadaBusiness, Education, Holistic Life Context, Life Design, Life Design for Permaculture, One-on-One CoachingUPDATE 2020/02/20Catherine’s doing well. Through our work with you, we decided it was best for us to have our separate professional lives so we could enjoy our personal time together more easily, since tensions seemed to rise more easily when we spent day and night together. We’ve been getting along really well since then, she enjoys her work now, and we’re getting married in September.
Before we did this work with Javan, it seemed too daunting to include everything in our life that we wanted to move forward. We were both aware of things that needed improvement, but they were stuck up in our brains. Having it down on paper makes the conversation about us and the farm possible.Javan provided a framework for us to have an organized conversation with each other on a disorganized situation and it’s been fantastic. We wish it was something we had done years ago, but we just didn’t have the tools at the time. This holistic framework gives you a sense of the entire picture of your life, from work to finances to personal relationships and everything in between in our case, and it allowed us to juggle all this in a calm and collected, but thorough and methodical way that made it easy to approach and discuss one issue at a time until we were both on the same page.

Farmer - Grass Roots FarmBusiness, Client, Education, Life Design, Limiting Beliefs, One-on-One CoachingJavan’s innate ability to help others cut through the mystery and confusion of their life’s purpose is incredible. His process helps others generate a business plan that integrates their individual passions and skills, then directs that focused energy towards problems in the world that they were literally born to solve. For me, Javan has been a much needed voice of reason in my life. His insights around marketing, in particular, have given me the clarity I needed to create a marketing strategy that has me spending less time herding people, and more time herding cows.

PDC Student - South AfricaEducation, PDC StudentJavan, thank you very much for your input and sharing your journey and experience with us. This has been much more than a design course for me. It has opened my eyes and, for that, I am very grateful to everybody involved in putting this course together.
